Paolo Leo Millefiori Appassimento Rosso is a stunning wine that offers a captivating ruby-red hue and an enchanting bouquet that harmonizes cherries, dried fruit, chocolate, and prunes. Produced in Salento, Apulia, Paolo Leo's historic winery combines tradition and modernity, making it a globally recognized brand.
The grapes for this wine are handpicked in October, and 60% of them undergo a meticulous drying process until December to intensify their colour and aroma. The remaining grapes are promptly vinified. After de-stemming, the grapes are kept intact to optimize colour extraction. The dried grapes are then vinified, and in February, they are blended seamlessly with the others. The final blend ages for 12 months in American and French barriques, offering a full-bodied, soft, and round palate with a delightful spiciness and a long finish.
