Description

Grain de Lune is a popular AOC Bordeaux wine that hails from the largest wine region in France. Situated in the South-West on the edge of the Atlantic, the Bordeaux wine region is influenced by the ocean, resulting in a temperate climate. The unique terroirs, the skill of the people, and the blending art contribute to the richness, quality, and variety of Bordeaux wines.
The wine is made from mechanically harvested grapes that are later than classical Sauvignon Blanc grapes. After destemming and crushing, the skin of the grapes is lightly contacted before pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, and the wine is aged on fine lees for at least three months. The result is a dry wine with a citrus and floral aroma, a slightly sappy, lively, and aromatic palate, and a long finish.
For the best experience, Grain de Lune should be served at 10-12°C. It pairs well with fish and soft cheeses, making it an excellent choice for a meal. It is also perfect as an aperitif. The wine has a pale-yellow colour with green reflections, dominated by fresh fruit and a mineral note, providing a good balance.
