Description

Chateau De Geraud Monbazillac 2014 is a delightful dessert wine hailing from the Monbazillac region of South West France. This wine is owned by the Gerardin family who have been producing it since the beginning of the 20th century. The Monbazillac region boasts of similar grape varieties and climatic conditions to Sauternes, which helps in the development of noble rot in late autumn. The wine has a golden hue and exudes botrytis aromas of smoke, marmalade, and honey. It has a good but not very high level of residual sugar, which is balanced by bright acidity, making it an easy-to-drink wine that pairs perfectly with fruit desserts, pastries, and blue cheeses.
