Description

Kono Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is produced using grapes that are sourced from various locations across Marlborough's major viticultural regions, including sites that are owned by Kono and vineyards belonging to dedicated growers. The unique flavour profile of this wine is created by combining grapes from the Waihopai, Awatere, and Rapaura sub-regions. Once the grapes are machine-harvested, they are transported to the winery in Marlborough's Awatere Valley, where they are pressed with modern membrane presses. The free-run and harder pressings are blended, chilled, and settled in stainless steel tanks until clear. The juice is then racked and warmed before being inoculated with carefully selected yeast cultures. The fermentation process is closely monitored through temperature manipulation to retain the wine's aromatics. This Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with seafood and light pasta dishes.
